Local Resources Available For Career & Small Business Planning

New Ventures Maine offers a variety of tools that help individuals and small business succeed in the changing economy.

Whether your goal is building a career, starting or growing your small business, managing money, returning to school, or being active in the community, NVM presents classes and workshops at no charge, including in-person and online options, as well as one-on-one coaching for individuals. NVM also provides resources such as mini-grants for marketing your small business and matched-savings programs for building an emergency fund, going to college, growing your business, or buying your first home.

New Ventures Maine’s Midcoast Region covers from Brunswick to Belfast, and travel assistance may be available to help you attend trainings and access services.  Boothbay area residents are welcome to contact the Community Navigator of Boothbay Region Community Resources Council, 633-6272. The LCRPC can provide small businesses with information about workforce training, business financing, and other resources and can be reached at 882-5983 or mbarnes@lcrpc.org
